MAFS Ep 30 Recap: The Final Vows

MARRIED At First Sight’s shock new couple are still going strong.

Last night Tracey Jewel and Sean Thomsen revealed they sparked up a romance after cameras stopped rolling, shocking their fellow participants.

Yesterday the pair flew to Sydney together and told Confidential they were very happy.

“It has been going really well. We are past the honeymoon, with the amount of stress from the show we were probably over that very quickly,” he said.

Jewel was adamant they did not start their relationship until after they both split from their respective former partners.

“Nothing happened until after the final commitment ceremony,” she said. “I barely spoke to Sean on the show — because Dean (Wells) and I had a lot of drama, we were separated from everyone else in another hotel.

“We didn’t really connect until after returning to Perth. I wanted to catch up with someone who knew what I had been through. It definitely started as a friends’ catch-up.”

Rather than fault their new love, the pair said they consciously played down their emotions at the dinner party.

“Our relationship was real life; we made the decision to downplay our relationship,” she said.

“Our relationship wasn’t part of the show,” Thomsen said. “We didn’t want to push it in people’s faces.

“Everyone was really receptive. they were happy that we had both moved on and that we got what we came to the experiment for.”

Jewel said she would now be cutting ex Dean Wells out of her life.

“I tried hard to maintain a friendship with Dean, which he has made it hard with some of the texts he sent me,” she said.

“I have tried my best to be friends.

“There is no need for me to have Dean in my life anymore.”

The drama is not quite over yet, however, with the final episode airing tonight.
