A controversial national tour attempted to be held by Married At First Sight D-Listers has been cancelled.

A Nine spokesperson released a statement regarding the tour:

“The event was unauthorised and at no point did the organisers consult Nine nor seek Nine’s permission as would have been required to stage such an event. Nine did not cancel the event, but Nine will take action as necessary to protect the Married At First Sight brand and its rights.”

The tour was announced last week, titled Still Looking For Love and featuring the likes of Cyrell Paule, Mick Gould, Melissa Lucarelli and Ning Surasiang from the last season and hanger-on Dean Wells from the season before.

Travelling to Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, tickets to see the reality rejects were going for an eye-watering $49.90 for general admission and a very ambitious $99.90 for a meet and greet.

However the tour has now been cancelled, with Wells taking to Instagram to say it was due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

Former contestant Dean Wells was to be part of the tour.

The tour details promised secrets about the show would be revealed.

“Now Cyrell, Melissa, Mick and Ning spill the beans on what else happened when the cameras were on, and just as importantly, when they were off,” a press release read.

“How do they really feel about Jessika (Power) and Ines (Basic)? Will Jules (Robinson) and Cam (Merchant) really live happily ever after? Most importantly of all — what comes next now the cameras have stopped rolling?”
