With her new bronde — that’s brown and blonde — hair, fringe and freckles, a stripped back and stunning Margot Robbie has appeared on the cover of British Vogue.
Baring a striking resemblance to entertainment icons like Jane Birkin, the Australian actor and producer posed in a series of 70s-inspired portraits for the August issue of the fashion magazine.
The 31-year-old was promoting her upcoming movie, The Suicide Squad, where she dons the platinum pigtails of supervillain Harley Quinn for the third time.
The first was for 2016’s Suicide Squad and then in 2020 for the spin-off Birds of Prey.
In the accompanying article, the Gold Coast born Academy Award nominee describes how working on the new action film felt like “the absolute time of my life.”
Robbie, who runs LuckyChap Entertainment with her husband Tom Ackerley and her former roommates, explained why she keeps returning to the character of Harley.
“From a business or statistical standpoint, those are the high-paying jobs.
“So I really want to advocate for women writing big blockbuster action films.
“And then also, the perception that women aren’t interested in action is ridiculous.”
