MEET The Oldfields — a reality TV show could be on the cards for Lisa and David Oldfield.
Confidential can reveal the controversial Sydney couple has been approached by a number of production companies looking to turn their lives into a reality series.
“If we were to do something, it would be authentic, unfiltered and hilarious,” a guarded Lisa Oldfield told Confidential.
Lisa is known most recently for being one of The Real Housewives Of Sydney while her husband is a former politician who famously co-founded One Nation and will appear on Hell’s Kitchen from Sunday night.
“It’s fair to say we’re talking about doing things,” David Oldfield said last week. “I expect that both of us will do other things — maybe the two of us doing them together again. I don’t see it as a way of making money — it’s interesting here and there. I would never do anything like Big Brother.”
The couple are parents to Harry, six, and Bert, four. David was a controversial addition to SBS series First Contact at the end of last year because of his conservative views on indigenous Australians.
Foxtel is yet to confirm whether or not a second season of The Real Housewives of Sydney will go ahead. Lisa was the most controversial of the housewives, falling out with Victoria Rees and Krissy Marsh.
“All you saw (on Housewives) was adversarial Lisa or drunk Lisa,” she said.
“There’s a lot more to me. I am a very successful business woman. I’m authentic and I’m quite mad but in a quirky way that I guess pushes people’s boundaries and makes people think. People get me wrong all the time. I am very multidimensional and I don’t think people saw that on Housewives.”
