Tears, laughter and general confusion, it is shaping up to be the most bizarre reality show of the year.

Channel 10 has given a first look promo of The Masked Singer judging panel Lindsay Lohan, Dave Hughes, Dannii Minogue and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson at work.

“It was so good I am about to cry,” American Lohan said in one snippet.

In another, she quips: “Guys, this is just going to get weirder. My mind is racing right now.”

The Masked Singer format originated in South Korea, where it was called King of Mask Singer. It launched in the US this year and the Australian series has just wrapped production.

The series will feature 12 celebrities singing in head to toe costumes with their faces concealed by masks. Their identities are unknown to other contestants as well as the judges, who will do their best to identify the singer solely from their voice and a series of clues.

At the end of each episode the studio audience and panel of judges vote for their favourite masked singer. The singer with the least votes is revealed at the end of that episode with one

masked singer revealed every episode.

“I am just going with the best base of knowledge that I have about Australians,” Lohan said in the promo while Jackie O got “goosebumps”.

In another spot, Minogue holds her hand up in frustration.

“This is driving me crazy.”
