SUZI Quatro’s longtime fans are all in a lather about their favourite leather-clad rock star being back in town.
For Quatro, now 64, her farewell tour represents an extraordinary relationship with Australia which began in the early 1970s.

“I think there was always a real connection with me and you guys, I don’t know why,” Quatro, said of her relationship with Australian fans over the years. “We’ve kind of grown up together, we’re like a family in some way — a rock n’roll family”.
But it’s not just the everyday fans who have built a relationship with Quatro over the years. “John Farnham’s a nice guy, I’ve just worked with The Angels, I’ve known them for a long time. I’m just about to do an AC/DC documentary, who I’ve also known for a long time. You’ve got a lot of good people,” Quatro said.
When asked what her role was in the as yet unnamed documentary. Quatro said “They’ve asked me to be part of it and I said ‘yes’.”
“I think they’ve gone on record to say they were fans, so I’m returning the favour,” she added, with a laugh.
Quatro chatted to Confidential in Sydney ahead of heading to Perth for her first gig on her final Australian tour. She will be back here for two shows at Enmore Theatre in Newtown on February 13 and 14.
