Leading voiceover artist Amy Longhurst dies

The Australian entertainment industry is mourning the sudden loss of one of the country’s most sought-after voiceover artists.
Amy Longhurst, who most recently worked on Channel 7’s All Together Now, passed away aged 47 at home on Sunday.
Her family took to social media to reveal the sad news to her fans and friends with entertainment industry veterans including Rhonda Burchmore leading the tributes.
“Dear friends, It is with great sadness that we inform you that our beloved Amy has passed away at home on the evening of Sunday 24 March 2019,” a family member wrote.
“Amy leaves behind two deeply loved daughters Veronica and Rosie, their father Sam, a loving family, and many friends who are grieving and missing her enormously.

“Amy has had a profound effect on many people, as a much-admired teacher, a brilliant performer and entertainer, and a loving mother and friend.”
While her face and name might not be instantly recognisable, the NIDA graduate is the voice behind some of our best known advertisements for Telstra, Kellogg’s, the NRL, Milo, Kleenex, Westpac, Napisan, Preen, Campbell’s, NRMA, Vodafone, Uncle Toby’s and the Commonwealth Bank.
She was also the female voice of Nick Jr and the Lifestyle Channel.
Longhurst’s longtime agent said, “EM Voices has represented Amy for over 15 years and are devastated by the loss of such a talented and vibrant friend.
“Amy was bright spark in the voice over industry and will be missed by all in the EM Voices family.”
