KYLIE Minogue’s former fiance Joshua Sasse has abandoned his high-profile Australian marriage equality campaign after his split from the pop princess.
The Say I Do Down Under movement, which attracted celebrity supporters such as Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Australian stars Margot Robbie and Rose Byrne, has been canned, one week after Minogue ended her engagement with the British actor Sasse.
A spokesman for Australian Marriage Equality, which co-founded the project with Sasse, confirmed their partnership with the 29-year-old was “over”.
“The campaign has run its course,” the spokesman said. “It is now over.”
Only two months ago, Minogue and Sasse called on the federal government to legalise same-sex marriage at the ARIA Awards in Sydney.
