WITH private jets at her beck and call, a cosmetics empire projected to be worth $1 billion in the next five years and 100 million followers hanging off her every selfie, Kylie Jenner might seem like the most unrelatable 20-year-old on the planet.
But fans of the reality TV and social media star, as famous for her pumped up lips as she is for the eponymous make-up products she puts on them, can’t get enough of her.
With the title of the most viewed person on Snapchat, 23 million followers on Twitter and a gig on Keeping Up With The Kardashians since she was nine, you’d think there wasn’t much more to know about the youngest Kardashian sister.
But her new reality show, Life of Kylie, promising a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the “real” Kylie Jenner, away from the social media facade, was the second most watched series on Foxtel Now last month, just behind the all-conquering Game of Thrones.

The appeal of Life of Kylie it seems revolves around watching the reality star navigate the daily dilemmas of a multi-millionaire millennial, including what to do when your private jet is cancelled or whether to wear a Gucci or Givenchy gown to dinner.
The show is an extension of the daily selfies and Snapchat videos she posts, which include everything from raunchy poses to her hamming it up for the camera in her bathroom the size of an average Sydney apartment.
Jenner knows in the world of social media and socialites, you are only as good as your following, so she needs to keep the “likes” up.
After all, it’s her ability to influence the impressionable young audience who follow her that has made her the second-highest earner in the Kardashian clan, behind half-sister Kim.
But don’t think those glamorous selfies come easily — they’re her life’s biggest challenge. “Posting a selfie is hard because it’s a lot of just, pressure,” she said.
