The going rate for a supermodel in 1990 was $10,000 a day, according to Linda Evangelista.
That price has changed substantially, with Kendall Jenner earning more than $500,000 for her 24-hour trip to Sydney.
“That would be an underestimate,” one highly placed fashion insider told The Daily Telegraph.
The 23-year-old flew in on a commercial flight yesterday with her beauty team in tow, including hair stylist Jen Atkin and makeup artist Mary Phillips.
She will fly home to the US today, after stealing the show on the black carpet in a stunning pink frilled mini as guest of honour for the new Tiffany & Co flagship store opening on Pitt St in the CBD last night.
It was a packed day for the world’s highest paid model, who also shot a cover for Vogue Australia at Pix Studios in Alexandria — and tried her first “Tim Tam bomb”, dunking the choc biscuit into a hot drink.
“It, like, legit works,” she said in an Instagram video posted by one of her team.
“It is literally melting from the inside out.”
Forbes listed Jenner as the world’s highest-paid model in 2018.
She earns $500,000 for a single Instagram post and pocketed more than $30 million last year from social media alone.
The Victoria’s Secret model is dating Aussie basketball superstar Ben Simmons.
He is understood to have stayed in the US, where he plays for the Philadelphia 76ers, yesterday.
