Kyle Sandilands’ cringe-worthy love-in with Anthony Albanese

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson have backflipped on their vows to vote for ScoMo during a cringe-worthy interview with Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese.

KIIS radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson have sensationally backflipped on their plans to vote for Prime Minister Scott Morrison at the next federal election.

During an interview with Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese on Thursday, the pair admitted they are now on the fence about who they’re voting for, just one week after gushing about Mr Morrison.

“Now I’m starting to think about it,” Sandilands said on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

“I don’t mind Sco-Mo, he’s been OK and I feel safe with him. It’s a safety feeling with him and maybe that’s misjudged? Maybe I’ve misjudged him?”

Mr Albanese replied, “I think we need to do better than ‘OK’ because coming out of the pandemic, this is an opportunity when you have a crisis, it’s an opportunity to reset, to really go forward and to think about ‘OK, how do we make the country better?’ Not just drift on, because the rest of the world goes past you if you’re standing still.”

At one point, Sandilands asked Henderson who she was voting for and she explained that she was now uncertain.

Sandilands gushed over Anthony Albanese after previously backing Mr Morrison.

Henderson said she was now unsure who she wouldl vote for.

“He seems like a nice bloke, are you now going to vote for Albo, Jackie?” Sandilands asked, to which she replied, “I don’t know”.

“I don’t think I know Scott very well … I’d little to hear a little bit more also about Scott and what he’s planning,” she said.

Sandilands hailed Mr Albanese as a “nice bloke”, saying “what’s not to like about Albo?”

He also called for an end to the title “opposition leader”.

“I don’t like when they call it the ‘opposition’ it has a negative connotation,” he said, to which Mr Albanese agreed.

Sandilands told Mr Albanese that he would still consider voting for Mr Morrison on one condition, “I like you as a man, I think you’re great but I’ve got to be honest, if Sco-Mo comes in, does a shoey and gives me a licence to be able to smoke weed (I’ll vote for him).”

The interview comes just one week after the radio duo declared their support for the Liberal leader.

“I’ll be voting for Scott,” Henderson said on that show, with Sandilands adding, “Me too. I’m voting for ScoMo.”
