Kyle Sandilands has had a “sh*t run’ — his KIIS neon sign has been stolen, he’s been ripped off on an Ooshie and now his Bentley is costing him $30,000.
“The Bentley had to go and get fixed, it needed new steering arms, $30,000. Jesus,” he said admitting he didn’t even know what a steering arm was.
But it gets worse. The radio host revealed his Rolls Royce has also just cost him a bundle after he drove over a speedhump.
“I hit it at quite a hefty speed and burst one of the airbags in the suspension. “They’re not springs, they’re airbag suspension,” he said on KIIS FM today.
“Then at Rolls Royce, they said, yeah you can’t buy one, they come in a set — $30,000.
“Everything seems to be $30,000.”
Sandilands is now convinced he’s on a losing streak: “It’s the worst week of my life.”
A huge fan of automotives, Sandilands collection of more than 10 vehicles including a Bentley Mulsanne, a Rolls Royce, a Range Rover SVR, a Lamborghini Aventador, a Ferrari 458 Italia, a vintage Mustang, two Harley Davidson motorcycles, a John Deere farm tractor and a Polaris off-road ATV.
Meanwhile, as he grieves his car repair costs, an investigation has been launched on air after it was revealed the KIIS neon sign, which usually sits behind Sandilands in the studio, had been stolen.
The incident occurred during the station’s Bachelor Premiere party in Potts Point on Tuesday night. The sign was used as a prop at the party before being taken down to the street to be loaded back into our KIIS van.
It is understood it was taken by someone from the street while they were packing up.
“And before you go saying, ‘Guy’s it’s just a neon sign’, this thing is actually worth $10,000!”
