Controversial radio host Kyle Sandilands and his new lover Tegan Kynaston are still going strong, despite a recent public spat.
The pair showed no signs of strain as they departed Cairns Airport after a week-long getaway with Kynaston’s family.
Sandilands former assistant and now King Kyle communications director wore denim cut-off shorts paired with a monochrome polka dot shirt and wedges, while Sandilands, 48, wore head-to-toe black.
Kynaston celebrated her 34th birthday in far north Queensland, where she is understood to have introduced the shock jock to her parents.
The getaway comes days after the couple was involved in a roadside dispute earlier this month, resulting in Kynaston allegedly damaging the KIIS FM host’s $350,000 Bentley.
Police were called during the argument at Beach Road, Bondi, hours after the couple attended the KIIS FM Christmas party.
Kynaston was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for a mental health assessment before being charged with assault for allegedly slapping a responding police officer.
It has since been revealed Kynaston was serving an 18-month bond for cocaine possession when she allegedly struck the female police officer.
Her new charge of police assault is listed in Waverley Local Court on January 21.
Sandilands announced his split from Instagram model Imogen Anthony after eight years together last month.
“A lot people have been hitting us up on social media, a few media inquiries, about my relationship status,” he said on the Kyle and Jackie O show.
“We haven’t been with each other for quite a few months now. Unfortunately it’s run its course.”
