Soon-to-be divorced Kelly Landry is confident yoga – and life in the Noosa hinterland – is the true path to health and happiness.
As Landry’s divorce from accountant Anthony Bell is finalised, the newly minted practising yogi told this column she has found her “essence” in the rolling hills outside Noosa after the Victorian-born former model relocated to the Queensland hotspot in 2017 with the couple’s two young daughters, now aged 10 and seven.
In September Landry paid $2.5 million for a four-bedroom home on 4.3 acres at Doonan, some 4km from Noosaville and a 15-minute drive from Noosa Heads.
Previously she was living in a $10.3 million waterfront mansion in Noosa bought by Bell in 2018, which was said to have been an inducement to the couple’s brief reconciliation.
Landry confirmed that home is now in Bell’s name.
Her new humbler home comes with a 10m x 7m garage and 12m x 4m shed, one of which she now plans to convert into a yoga studio.
“I came to yoga when I was a teenager because of my undiagnosed heart condition, so I’ve always had a yoga practice,” she said.
“Soon after getting here I started studying yoga. I went to an Indian ashram and have been lucky to have some great mentors.”
After partnering with local yoga instructor Lauren Verona, Landry is offering yoga retreats this summer at nearby The Wonderdome.
