Former Love Island Australia star Lexy Thornberry has issued a public plea for help after her home in regional Queensland was broken into.

The 24-year-old, who lives with her professional boxer fiance David Nyika, shared images to Instagram over the weekend, showing trashed rooms, rubbish, graffiti reading “Hunter was here” and “Ethan was here,” and a hole in the wall.

“Gatton locals, swipe up if you know the teenagers who broke into our house a few days ago,” she wrote.

“Keep a close eye on your kids please.”

Thornberry also claimed neighbours spotted six teenagers on bikes in the area.

The break-in comes just months after the couple got engaged during a romantic getaway to Mexico’s Isla Mujeres.

Nykia who moved to Australia in 2022 to train with Thornvberry’s dad, boxing coach Noel Thornberry, said despite hiccups the proposal, “Was a success. And we did dance on tables after a small one on our balcony!”

The pair first connected when Thornberry slid into Nykia’s direct messages after watching him win bronze at the Tokyo Olympics.

Thornberry admitted to Woman’s Day, “It’s easy with Lexy. I spent almost eight years with the wrong people, I wanted to nail this one.”
