Karl Stefanovic flees to Mexico for a five-star holiday with girlfriend Jasmine Yarbrough and her family

KARL Stefanovic took some time away from the spotlight — spending time with his former catwalk model girlfriend’s family. Her mum revealed to Confidential how her daughter is coping with the media attention.

WHEN Karl Stefanovic took time away from the glare of the TV studio last week he was starring in his own version of Meet the Parents in Mexico.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal that far from relaxing the Today host was trying to impress 33-year-old girlfriend Jasmine Yarbrough’s mum and dad.

And from the look of some of the happy snaps the couple took Stefanovic seems to have made a fine impression during their stay at a luxurious five-star hideaway.

Joining the Yarbroughs to celebrate potential brother-in-law Josh’s 30th birthday at Cabo San Lucas, Stefanovic, 42, can be seen beaming from ear to ear with his arms around model Jasmine and her mother Cheryl.

The holiday pictures emerged yesterday as images of Yarbrough strutting the catwalk early in her modelling career at Australian Fashion Week also came to light.

Speaking for the first time about the relationship, Cheryl said her daughter struggled with being in the spotlight, as even Stefanovic’s employer Channel 9 runs stories on his love life.

“There has been a lot of untrue things printed. She’s struggled with that,” the Brisbane teacher said.

“It is all very sensitive, you have to understand.”

And she revealed her daughter had asked the family to not talk publicly about the romance.

“I can’t say too much at the moment, I have been asked not to talk about things,” Cheryl said.
