Twenty-one-year-old Jye Emdur will lend his model looks to the store on August 13, joining Smith, Rachael Finch and Jennifer Hawkins.

“I’m very excited. I haven’t walked before, so I’m very excited about that,” the younger Emdur said, adding his dad, co-host of Seven’s The Morning Show, planned to get him into shape ahead of the parade, having won this year’s Men’s Health Celebrity Man of the Year after a fitness overhaul.

Jye’s dad Larry lost 13kg in 12 weeks.

I’m envious and jealous because he’s fitter than me,” Jye admitted.

“He’s training hard and now he’ll be training me as of tomorrow. I just got back from Europe and have been eating pizza and pasta for two months, so I think he’ll start kicking me into shape from tomorrow morning.”

Jye, who is studying industrial design, said modelling wasn’t his top priority, but if he was offered more work with Myer, he would be very keen to take it up.

“I’m doing it part-time, but if it takes off that would be great,” he said.

“Dad’s very excited. He’s excited and a bit jealous, I think.”
