Actor Jodi Gordon has reverted to her maiden name five years after splitting from husband Braith Anasta.
The 35-year-old has until recently continued to go by Anasta and has previously stated she wanted to keep the same last name as her daughter, Aleeia.
“It is Jodi Gordon,” she told Confidential.
Gordon returned to full time living in Sydney after finishing up on TV soap Neighbours earlier this year and shares custody of her daughter.
She recently shot the How well do you know your wardrobe? campaign for clothing brand, Icebreaker, alongside Erin Holland and Samantha Harris.
Gordon is of course also well known for her years playing Martha Mackenzie on Home and Away but actually got her start in show business as a model when she signed to Vivien’s agency at the age of 13.
“I feel much more comfortable modelling than I do acting because I have been doing it much longer,” she said. “Auditioning again and if I am walking on set with a new job, it is a completely different experience and that keeps me on my toes.”
Now that she’s based in Sydney again, there have been rumours Gordon could return to Summer Bay playing Martha on Home and Away although she said “it is not something that we have explored”.
Outside of acting and modelling, Gordon has relished the opportunity to get back into a normal routine with her daughter.
“It is heaven,” she said. “Like any single mum will ever tell you, it is incredibly difficult trying to do everything on your own but I am lucky, I have a lot of great friends and family that help me a lot. Between the two families and our extended families, we make it work and I think that is just what you do in the best interests of your child.”
The Icebreaker campaign meanwhile is a collaboration between the brand and non-profit organisation Clean Cut Fashion, and is aimed at raising awareness around sustainable fashion and the impact the industry has on the environment.
