A NSW Police spokeswoman confirmed on Wednesday that plain clothes officers had been patrolling the area when they saw a man enter a car momentarily before exiting a short time later on the evening of Saturday, August 14.

“About 6.45pm plainclothes officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were conducting proactive operations targeting (alleged) drug-related activity in the Bondi Beach area,” she said.
“While patrolling Hall St officers arrested a man after allegedly finding him in possession of cocaine.
“Police will allege the man entered a vehicle on Jaques Ave and exited a short time later.”

Ginsburg, whose date of birth is stated as June 16, 1988, was issued with a court attendance notice and he is scheduled to first appear at Waverley Local Court for a mention on September 14.

When contacted, Ginsberg initially said “it is not me” before a representative for Ray White Double Bay later issued a statement.

“It would be inappropriate to comment on this matter as it has yet to go before the court,” the spokeswoman said.

Ginsburg, whose address is also listed at Bondi Beach, is yet to enter a plea to his charge.

He was allegedly caught with the drugs during NSW’s lockdown and after that area of Sydney had been subject to widespread Covid restrictions for almost two months.

The maximum penalty for drug possession is two years imprisonment in NSW.

He is a regular fixture on the Eastern Suburbs social scene, is prolific on social media and regularly shares images hanging out with his celebrity friends.
