JODHI Meares — now Tsindos, according to her Instagram profile — has opened up about the tumultuous events of the past 12 months to Vogue, saying peacefulness is her priority.
“It’s just life, you know. Worse things have happened to better people. Nobody’s life is perfect and we all have highs and lows. I try not to be too self- indulgent because that’s a really easy trap to fall into,” she told the magazine.
“You make good decisions and bad decisions, but ultimately it’s about moving forward and mocking up a peaceful future. I try to be as present as I can — because I think that is a way to happiness and more joy — and to be mindful enough to create good things for my future and also for my friends and family.”
Meares hit the headlines 12 months ago, when her then-partner Jon Stevens was charged with common assault after a 2am phone call to Rose Bay police relating to a domestic incident. The charge was later dropped.
Meares has well and truly moved on, having married boyfriend Nick Finn late last year. Stevens also appears to have happily moved on, having this week been romantically linked to Heloise Pratt.
