EVERYONE thought that Australia’s most famous footballer and his new wife were honeymooning in the lap of luxury, but it turns out the newlyweds have opted for the Gold Coast — alongside schoolies.
Sunday Confidential can reveal that Jesinta Campbell and Buddy Franklin have been on the Gold Coast for at least 10 days following their surprise wedding in the Blue Mountains two weeks ago.
Surprisingly, the pair who are two of the biggest names in the country, have managed keep their location under the radar.
One source told Confidential Campbell said “We do not want people to know that we are having our honeymoon on the Gold Coast”.
But, the secret was out when Confidential’s keen eye noticed Queensland socialite Judy Brine had shared a photo of the couple on her public Instagram account earlier this week.
“Love these guys,” Brine wrote next to a photo where she tagged the couple, who looked relaxed.
When contacted Brine decline to comment on how the pair seemed when she bumped into them last week.
A scan of the photo posted by the socialite revealed that the couple had been shopping at Range Rover in Southport on the Gold Coast.
When contacted the company confirmed the celebrities were using one of their luxury vehicles but refused to comment further.
“I’m afraid we are not permitted to give out any information as they have asked for privacy,” a spokeswoman said.
It is understood that they picked up a Black Range Rover from the dealership last Friday and will be on The Coast for around two weeks.
Fans have been speculating about the location of their honeymoon since Jesinta shared a video on Instagram of her new husband lounging on the beach.
Buddy also had fans guessing when he shared a picture from the beach.
While the photo was not captioned, the Sydney Swans player can be seen sitting in the driver’s seat of his car on the sandy white beach.
