ALL eyes were on Karl Stefanovic and his partner Jasmine Yarbrough after the couple goofed around at the David Jones Autumn Winter collection launch in Sydney last night.

The Today host and his new fiancee, who despite not walking the red carpet together on the night, were cuddled up in the front row.

Yarbrough whizzed through the red carpet, reluctantly posing for a photo on her own and saying, “I don’t want to do any interviews”, but when ask if she “has anything to show us” she flashed her engagement ring by waving her hand joyfully.

The Daily Telegraph later confirmed the high profile couple were engaged, according to a friend who spilt the news.

“They are very happy and enjoying this special time together,” they friend said, adding that the proposal was “very new”.

Stefanovic and Yarbrough met on a Sydney party boat in December, 2016, just months after he split from his wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn.

Stefanovic and Thorburn have three children, daughter Ava, and sons Jackson and River.

He has also faced controversies in his professional life after longtime Today co-host Lisa Wilkinson left the show amid a reported pay dispute over the disparity between her wage and his.

Georgie Gardner replaced Wilkinson at the desk after Wilkinson announced she was taking on a new role at The Project on Network Ten.

At the David Jones show, Victoria Lee and Jessica Gomes proved an inimitable pair as they showcased a surprisingly bright autumn/winter 2018 collection on the runway.

Opening the show in a glittering Balmain Paris mini dress, Lee showed just why she was chosen as the store’s newest recruit, strutting the expansive catwalk with a confident ease.

The store showcased four of its most dominant womenswear trends for the season, including dark moody florals, sharp tailoring, ‘New Classics’ and power shades.

But it was the return of the mini skirt which will have Sydney fashionistas most excited, with teeny tiny hemlines making a return after seasons dominated by the conservative midi dress.

Ruffled dresses, silk gowns, trench coats and anything chequered, pink or leather will be on wardrobe hit lists come winter.

Green was also a surprising theme this season, with Manning Cartell, Dion Lee, and Camilla and marc embracing the hue in their ranges.

Fashion’s bad boy Jordan Barrett also stepped out in Balmain, the store’s latest brand acquisition formerly stocked by rival department store Myer, wearing a black velvet blazer, black pants and a white shirt.

Men can forget about asking for socks on Father’s Day, with cropped suit pants exposing bare ankles as designers embrace the European penchant for shoes sans socks.

Zimmermann’s Spring collection, showcased at New York Fashion Week last year, closed the show on an optimistic note, showcasing springtime florals, delicate embroidered and appliquéd mini dresses, separates and floor length gowns perfect for a balmy autumn evening.

Having been worn by the likes of Beyonce and Paris Jackson in recent months, the Australian brand proved the perfect finale for the store’s parade.

Madeleine Madden, Terry Biviano, Phoebe Burgess and Tom Derickx were among the guest list.
