The stars of blockbuster Gladiator 2 are heading down under at the end of October to promote the highly anticipated sequel to the Oscar winning film, Gladiator.
Man of the moment, Irish actor Paul Mescal along with Fred Hechinger and Connie Nielsen will attend the Australian premiere of the movie at The Darling Harbour Theatre, ICC Sydney on Wednesday October 30.
Gladiator 2 is the sequel to Ridley Scott’s 2000 film which won the Oscar for Best Picture and Best Actor for Russell Crowe.
The new film, which is set to be released on November 14, centres around Lucius Verus (Mescal) who is the grown son of noblewoman Lucilla (played by Nielsen who reprises her role) and forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by tyrannical Emperors.
Mescal, who rose to prominence in the Netflix television series Normal People and Oscar-nominated Aftersun, is no stranger to Australian shores.
In 2021 he filmed Carmen in Australia and at the time frequented Sydney beer gardens and marked his 25th birthday at The Rose Hotel in Chippendale.
Fans can purchase tickets to go the event, from 2pm October 10 at Ticketek.
