Imogen Anthony’s racy Fashion Week looks: ‘I was going to be semi-nude’

Imogen Anthony initially planned to walk the runway at Australian Fashion Week semi-nude.
The fashionista ex-partner of radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands was the star model at the FDS: The Innovators show on Tuesday night, showcasing the work of new designers.
“I was originally having my boobs out in the show … (but) I thought I should put some stickers on,” Anthony told Confidential.
“Then I thought I might as well walk around in a necklace with the stickers showing. It is a weird process I have in my mind.”
Anthony has long been a supporter of up-and-coming designers at Pandora Australian Fashion Week, using her profile to showcase lesser-known labels and fashion students.
“Thank you for recognising that,” Anthony said for the acknowledgment.
“After everything in this world, I’ve been doing it 10 years now and I think everyone just thought I was coming in being a d***head. The fact that this is really important to me, I am so thankful for that. It feels very humbling to be a part of this.”
Anthony, for sure, is not afraid to take chances. She is known for her bold fashion statements and in previous years has worn outfits ranging from a crystal gimp mask to a phallic bra top.
She has also created her own designs and worked as a model and stylist.“It is a bit of the shock value,” she conceded. “It is like a movie, you’re not supposed to like everything I do but if it makes you feel something, you’ve either loved it or hated it, or you’ve felt discomfort, it is all part of the bigger picture. This is what makes me feel good and I shouldn’t have to justify that. When you put it on, you feel great.”
