Glamorous Sydney socialites, Ibby Moubadderand Romel Kouyan, have hit back at their fellow My Kitchen Rules contestants, Joshand Austin, calling them “fame whores” and “delusional”.

Frustrated after the controversial Christian brothers accused them as being the real villains of the series during an interview for this column last week, restaurateur Moubadder said: “We can’t believe this.”

“We read the article and me and Romel were like, ‘are you serious?’.

Kouyan said: “I genuinely find it quite humorous to think that they are under the impression that we are the real villains.”

“From what I observed, Josh and Austin are fame whores, they love the attention and they went out of their way to ruffle feathers.

“The one thing with Josh and Austin is that they are probably the two most jaded and delusional individuals I have ever met in my whole entire life and I would say this to their face.

“I genuinely believe that they are mentally unstable.”

The two pairs are set to come face-to-face at an event on Tuesday, with Moubadder and Kouyan admitting they have mixed emotions about the impending rendezvous.

“We haven’t seen them since the show started, but we are going to see them and I’m actually quite excited, but at the same time quite nervous, after reading all their comments about us being the real villains, it’s going to be an interesting meet up, I would say,” Moubadder laughed.

Another hot topic on season 10 of the series has been whether Moubadder, who co-owns Nour restaurant and Cuckoo Callay cafe, is a professional chef, which is against the show’s rules.

“I’m not a chef, I’ve never cooked, I’ve never been inside a commercial kitchen apart from setting it up or something, but I never cook in my restaurant or my cafe,” Moubadder said, attempting to set the record straight.

“I do have restaurants and cafes and that was part of my application but I’m Uber Eats’ best customer and I think I should get an award for it.”

My Kitchen Rules continues tonight at 7pm on Seven.
