Ian Thorpe parties on Spanish island of Ibiza with recent ex Ryan Channing
Olympic great Ian Thorpe has been spotted in Ibiza holidaying with an ex-boyfriend, just months after confirming he had split from his partner of four years. SEE THE PHOTOS.
Former model Ryan Channing has sparked suggestions of a reunion with Olympic swimming great Ian Thorpe with the exes holidaying together on the Spanish party island of Ibiza.
Channing and his friends have shared a series of Instagram stories over the past few days and are understood to be celebrating Channing’s 30th birthday.
“We’re just on holidays with friends,” Channing said when contacted yesterday.
The holiday comes six weeks after Channing confirmed the couple’s split, saying their increasingly busy lives made it difficult to continue their four year relationship.
“Yes the rumours are true, we have parted ways,” Channing said at the time. “It has all been very amicable. We have stayed friends. We have just gone our separate ways. We are both very busy so it is really just not the same as it was before. I have moved out.”
This week, Channing shared a number of posts to Instagram, including one video where Thorpe, 36, appeared to be competing in a pool game with a mate.
Victoria’s Secret model Shanina Shaik was also tagged in another post.
Channing’s ‘crew’ were also tagged at Ibiza’s Cafe Mambo where the former couple appeared in another video sitting next to each other at dinner.
The pair’s split came as a surprise after they had just months earlier revealed they hoped to become parents together and had visited a reproductive clinic in Los Angeles.
“We had great times and there is probably still more to come because we remain good friends and still talk,” Channing said in June. “It is still happy days, we have just drifted apart.”
