Hugh Sheridan’s shock split from fiance Kurt Roberts

Packed to the Rafters star Hugh Sheridan’s engagement to Kurt Roberts has ended after eight months.

They became engaged after just four months, however Actor Hugh Sheridan has announced the shock split from their fiance, Kurt Roberts.

The Packed to the Rafters star took to Instagram on Friday to reveal their romance with the influencer was over, eight months into their engagement.

“I didn’t think it would be right to not say Happy Birthday to an amazing and caring human, but also not be false cause whether it’s right or wrong; transparency is what I promised you all,” they, who came out as non-binary in June, wrote.

“For now we didn’t make it, but we tried very, very hard, I’m so sorry for us that it wasn’t easy and I’m sorry for the added pressure.”

He added that the reason behind their split was a combination or their busy work schedules and the death of Sheridan’s father Denis earlier this year.

“In retrospect, having a first public relationship, that public, that fast, might’ve been too much pressure on us,” Sheridan wrote.

“Maybe it was Covid or quarantines or us working to hard (I take the blame for full responsibility for the working hours), maybe it’s dads death or all the above. The point is Kurt is incredibly kind, someone who is earnestly caring and helped me through a very tough time.”

The couple were engaged after four months of dating during Sheridan’s Adelaide Fringe show in March.

Sheridan dropped to one knee, popping the question to Roberts before yelling into the microphone “I just got engaged”.
