HOME and Away star Orpheus Pledger is hoping fans will pledge their votes his way in his quest to take out the title of this year’s Cosmopolitan Bachelor of The Year.
While some eligible stars have shied away from attaching their name to the competition in the past, Pledger is chuffed to be one of the 30 nominated hunks and is busy drumming up votes from friends, family and his fans.
“I’d be really, really pleased if I was to win Bachelor Of The Year,” the 24-year-old who plays Mason Morgan on the show, told Confidential.
“I’d be happy, I’ve never won anything in my life. It’s fun for me, it’s also an honour to be nominated for something, no matter what it is.”
Fans still have until January 31 to pick their favourite man via the Cosmopolitan website — and Pledger’s single status should no doubt help with the votes.
“I like a fair game so I wouldn’t be running for Bachelor of The Year if I had a girlfriend,” he said.

Well into his third year on Home and Away, the soap star who also appeared on Neighbours in 2011, says 2018 will be his best year yet.
“I’ve said it since I was young, when I turn 25, I’m going to have a great year, and I turn 25 this year, it’s my favourite number,” he said.
“I’ve put a lot of planning, thought and effort into the foundation of my life and the seeds are going to start sprouting this year. So I’m up for whatever the universe has in store for me, however I’ve laid the ground rules enough to be able to explore my talents and career options. I want to add layers to what I’ve already been working on.”
