It was a playful day on set as Hollywood’s rising stars hammed it up while filming the highly anticipated I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot in the harbour city.
Sydney’s iconic Watson’s Bay waterfront doubled as Southport, North Carolina, to film the continuation of the Sarah Michelle Gellar cult hit.
Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders and Sarah Pidgeon were snapped in high spirits with Freddie Prinze Jr smiling nearby.
Prinze Jr will reprise his role as Ray Bronson in the 1997 original movie, while former Buffy The Vampire Slayer star wife Gellar’s character, beauty queen Helen Shivers, was killed off in what went on to become a hugely successful global horror franchise.
It is yet to be revealed if Jennifer Love Hewitt will return as Julie James while Ryan Phillippe’s character also died in the original film so is not on board this time round.
The reboot will also star other young faces Tyriq Withers, Jonah Haur-King and Gabriette Bechtel.
There are three previous movies in the franchise with little detail available on the fourth. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who wrote Thor: Love And Thunder, is on board to direct the latest instalment that is slated for release next year through Sony Pictures.
Cline meanwhile is best known for the Netflix teen drama Outer Banks and also appeared in the film, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery alongside Daniel Craig, Janelle Monae and Edward Norton.
Wonders is known for her work in horror comedy flick Bodies Bodies Bodies and US TV series, Generation, while Pidgeon’s credits include The Wilds and Tiny Beautiful Things.
