Harry and Meghan: Prince pensive in LA as Charles and Queen enjoy Easter at Frogmore House

The Duke of Sussex cast a pensive figure at Santa Barbara with his happy lab just a month after his explosive Oprah Winfrey interview alongside wife Meghan

Prince Charles wanted to fight Harry and Meghan ‘point by point’

One month after his bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey aired around the world, a grim-faced Prince Harry was seen walking his dog in Santa Barbara, California last week.

The Duke of Sussex, 36, looked pensive while playing fetch on a sunny beach with Pula, the black Labrador rescue that he shares with his wife Meghan Markle, 39.

Dressed in a white T-shirt and grey shorts, the barefoot Prince looked worlds away from Buckingham Palace, as the royal family deals with the aftermath of his explosive interview

which was watched by more than 60 million people.

Meanwhile, across the pond, Prince Harry’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth II and his father Prince Charles were seen together publicly for the first time since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made shock claims of bullying and racism within the royal family.

Her majesty, who turns 95 later this month, looked upbeat while walking alongside the Prince of Wales in the gardens at Frogmore House, near the Sussexes’ former home.

The pair rugged up in long winter coats and posed against a backdrop of yellow daffodils during a quiet stroll “to mark the Easter weekend”, according to Buckingham Palace’s official Twitter account.

It comes during what has been a stressful time for Queen Elizabeth II, after Prince Philip, 99, spent nearly one month in hospital following a procedure for a pre-existing heart condition.

He was released last month and continues his recovery at home.

There have also been reports of strained relationships in the royal family, particularly between Prince Harry, his brother Prince William, 38, and their father Prince Charles, 72, due to the Oprah tell-all.

Markle alleged that a member of the royal family made racist remarks about the son she shares with Prince Harry, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who turns two next month.

Shortly after the allegations sparked uproar, Prince William responded and denied the claims.

“We are very much not a racist family,” he told Sky News.
