Hard launch for new Home and Away couple

Two Home and Away stars are the latest on-camera relationship spilling off-screen. It continues a long list of stars who also dated in real life.

You could say it was a low-key hard launch of Home and Away’s latest on-camera relationship spilling off-screen when Matt Evans and Sophea Pennington stepped out at the races at the weekend.

The pair appeared very much loved up, kissing as they posed for Confidential’s photographer at Royal Randwick Racecourse for The Star Championship Day. It came after they were snapped kissing between shooting scenes at Palm Beach in February.

The actors play Lacey (Pennington) and Theo (Evans) on the popular Channel 7 TV soap with their characters currently seen in a steamy storyline where they are having an affair.

Lacey is officially dating River Boy Gage, played by Tom Wilson, and Confidential hears the storyline is about to ramp up over the coming weeks with lots of ‘life or death’ drama to come.

Home and Away has seen many relationships blossom behind the scenes.

Also at the moment, Ada Nicodemou and James Stewart are in a real-life relationship.

Over previous years, there’s also been Sophie Dillman and Patrick O’Connor, Chris Hemsworth and Isabel Lucas, Dannii Minogue and Julian McMahon, Deborah Lawrence and Dennis Coard, Lincoln Lewis and Rhiannon Fish.

Bec Cartwright, who went on to marry Lleyton Hewitt, dated her co-star Beau Brady, while Bobby Morley and Jessica Tovey were together for a spell, as was Axle Whitehead and Samara Weaving.
