Sacre Bleu! Is this Sydney’s biggest croissant?
A recently opened Greenacre patisserie has gone viral after footage of it’s giant 1.2kg croissant and over 3L cup of coffee went on socials.
La Doree Patisserie is the dream of French-trained patissier and chocolatier Khaled Khanji.
Khanji opened the patisserie in December, and since footage of his croissant and coffee was shared online, he’s been “smashed.”
About 12 regular sized croissants fit into the 1.2kg creation, which takes three days to make and as such has to be ordered in advance.
It can come with or without chocolate and cost $60 and served with at least 3L cup of coffee, for $50.
The giant coffee itself can be made to go also with any regular sized treat.
Originally from Lebanon, Khanji came to Australia over 20 years ago and wanted to create a cake shop like the ones in Europe.
“It’s my dream,” said Khanji, of the store.
Khanji said he would make at least 10 giant croissants.
As well as giant pastries, Khanji also makes regular sized ones but with a twist, like the Gaytime, strawberry jam and Ferrero Rocher flavoured croissants.
