Leonardi McGrath was at Flemington for Melbourne Cup celebrations this week, the striking brunette virtually unrecognisable as she mingled and posed for photographs with the celebrity set, including Megan Gale and partner Shaun Hampson.
It would seem the 36-year-old is going through something of a rebel phase, accessorising her new look with a nose ring piercing in August.
The Instagram-loving mother to baby Madison and stepmum to James, 18, and Holly, 17 — McGrath’s children with his first wife, the late Jane McGrath — shared a video of the eye-watering piercing procedure to her social media and can be seen mouthing “f…ing hell” before asking her three-year-old daughter to “come and look at Mummy’s nose”.
Leonardi McGrath, who has almost 8000 followers on Instagram, has long been an advocate for self love, taking to her social media sites in 2016 to share with followers how long it took her to love her body.
“I wish I had been more content as a teenager and my early 20s,” she wrote. “A word of advice to young women love yourselves in and out and embrace every inch of your body no matter what shape it’s in.”
The former Test fast bowler and Leonardi McGrath tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Sydney in November, 2010.
McGrath has publicly credited his second wife with helping mend his broken heart after his first wife died of breast cancer in 2008.
McGrath met Leonardi, an interior designer, at a party in Cape Town in April 2009.
