FRANCESCA Packer Barham has at last flown home from her extensive overseas sabbatical, which to date this year has seen the young heiress visit the US, Vietnam, Ibiza and London.
The society darling touched down a week ago and ventured out on Thursday to walk dogs with a friend at North Bondi.
Meanwhile, speculation continues to rage about the man her social media followers have come to know as “Stewbergs”.
“Stewbergs”, aka Ian Stewart, became a hot topic three weeks ago after “Chessie”, Gretel Packer’seldest child, posted photographs of the pair partying in Europe with the caption: “Date night with my darling.”
The accompanying slugs “#marriedlife”, “#honeymoon” and “#hubby” piqued the interest of keen Packer-watchers who felt certain the pair had married.
But close friends scotched the notion, explaining the relationship was purely platonic, with “Stewbergs” just one of a group of attentive young men in Barham’s increasingly bohemian social set.
Barham, meanwhile, was expected to attend the David Jones spring-summer collection show on Wednesday night but was a last-minute no-show.
Had she ventured out in the pouring rain, she would have found herself face-to-face with her uncle James Packer’s former wife Jodhi Meares, who had her new husband Nicholas Finn Tsindos in tow.
Tsindos, 29, was working his inner male model hard at David Jones. He later told media that kids with Meares might not be on the couple’s radar.
“Yeah, maybe a couple of puppies,” a reference, we think, to canines, and not to his wife’s best-regarded assets.
