FORMER Home and Away star Tessa James has shared a confronting photograph of her shaved head, 12 months since her cancer treatment ended.

FORMER Home and Away star Tessa James has shared a confronting photograph of her shaved head, 12 months since her cancer treatment ended.

The 24-year-old and her husband Nate Myles marked the milestone on their Instagram pages.

“25.02.15 — 12 months baby,” James simply wrote to her 91,000 followers today.

Myles said: “12 months Baby.”

James revealed her Non Hodgkins Lymphona diagnosis in 2012 would not stop her from having children.

“That was a shock for us initially, when that [diagnosis] is happening, and they throw that little curve ball too,” James said at the time.

“So we went and saw a fertility specialist and went through all of that. Previously myself and Nate have been fine to have kids.

“I will be completely honest about it, we’ve had lengthy discussions and if I ever was to go down that road of freezing my eggs, I would basically be doing a round of IVF, and it would be a month or bit longer, and that would have meant I wouldn’t have been able to get treated [straight away].”

In October, James told Sunday Style she had to have regular check-ups.

She also revealed her father was also in remission.

“I have no doubt my outcome was a reflection of how my dad looked and handled his journey,” she said.
