Former Australian cricketer Peter Siddle and his wife Anna Weatherlake are believed to have quietly separated, with Weatherlake having since moved on with a new man.
The pair tied the knot in a stunning Victorian homestead wedding in 2017, however their relationship is believed to have soured in recent years.
The couple’s union was the subject of news reports for the wrong reasons in 2020 when Siddle revealed he was a borderline alcoholic in the early stages of his Test career and was forced to change his ways after his wife caught him in bed with another woman at home.
At the time, the pacer added that on his darkest days he would drink more than 25-30 drinks and admitted he was throwing his career away.
However, 13 years after first dating, it appears they have gone their separate ways. Weatherlake confirmed the split with Confidential on Saturday, writing, “Sids and I split almost two years ago.” Sunday Confidential has also approached Siddle for comment.
Siddle, who was a fast bowler and played 67 Tests for Australia, spent time in Budapest earlier this month where he attended the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Meanwhile his ex-wife and former cricket WAG Weatherlake is partying it up in Greece with her new partner, Victorian builder Nick McKimm.
Weatherlake and McKimm have spent the week posting loved up images in Mykonos and Santorini to their social media sites, many of which have been “liked” by fellow cricket WAGs, including Candice Warner, and former AFL WAG Nadia Bartel. The couple have been in Europe since early July.
Weatherlake, an influencer, famously influenced her Ashes-winning husband to adopt a vegan diet.
