DESPITE going on a national TV show to find love, Megan Marx has quit The Bachelor — because she claims she couldn’t find love in that environment.
“It was honestly me realising I wouldn’t be able to find love in an environment like that.
“There were cameras everywhere all the time, it was full on. I was fairly able to be myself, but that just wasn’t enough for me to fall in love,” the 27-year-old told Confidential.
“I don’t know if Richie was the right guy for me. You never know what could happen in the real world. I got along with Ritchie really well, we had great banter ... but for me, it was more the environment of the show that wasn’t very conducive to love,” added Marx, somewhat perplexingly.
Meanwhile, fellow Bachelor alumnus Georgia Tripos has rubbished rumous that she worked as a stripper.
Photos of the 24-year-old in black lingerie emerged last week, breeding rampant speculation about the nature of her work.
“I love those photos, I’m really proud of them. I did them last year in a photo shoot, and speculation about my past has nothing to do with my current situation,” she explained.
When Confidential requested permission to run one of the images, we were shut down by the photographer, who said that the images had caused Tripos’ family grief.
Tripos said her sudden ascent to the public eye and the subsequent interest in her personal life wasn’t affecting her.
“It doesn’t bother me at all, I’m all good,” laughed the Melbourne-based artist, who is now seeing “a lovely boy”.
