Eve Morey shocked with Logie nomination after character’s death
Neighbours actor Eve Morey was left in shock after finding out she was one of seven actors nominated for a Gold Logie despite her character dying on the show at the end of last year.
No one was more surprised to receive a Gold Logie Award Nominee than Neighbours actress Eve Morey.
“It was a shock for a lot of people including myself,” Morey told The Sunday Telegraph.
“I died. Well my character died, that’s the thing. I died at the end of last year. I am not even on the show anymore So this nomination came completely out of nowhere.”

Morey, who starred as Sonya Rebecchi on the long running Channel 10 program for nine and half years, said one month after being told of the nomination, she is still finding it hard to believe.
“To be recognised for Gold, it’s crazy,” she said.
“I didn’t think people even watched the show. I know UK viewers do, but to have support from local people is quite amazing.
“Now I’ve known for a few weeks, I am getting used to it, but I am still getting my head around it.”
Morey will go up against stars including Amanda Keller, Costa Georgiadis, Eve Morey, Rodger Corser, Sam Mac, Tom Gleeson and Waleed Aly.
The seven actors from shows including Home And Away, Wentworth and Doctor Doctor will battle it out for the coveted gong on June 30 at The Star Gold Coast in Queensland.
