Emma Freedman gives birth to baby boy six weeks early
Sport presenter Emma Freedman has welcomed the arrival of a baby boy. The TV and radio host shared the news on social media, announcing her “perfectly healthy” son was born six weeks premature and just “needs time to adapt to the outside world”.

Sport presenter Emma Freedman has welcomed the arrival of a healthy baby boy.
The TV and radio host shared the news on social media, announcing her newborn son’s name William Anthony while revealing he was born six weeks premature on April 16.
“As is the case with preemie babies, we have been in hospital since his arrival and that will continue for a little time yet. He is perfectly healthy, just needs time to adapt to the outside world. He is making amazing progress every day.”

Freedman and husband Charlie Rundle thanked staff at the Sydney Children’s Hospital.
Baby Will weighed 2.5kg and measured 49cm at birth “with long legs, blue eyes, fair hair and chubby cheeks”.
“He has already bought us infinite joy and love, despite his speedy arrival,” she wrote.
“He is a beautiful, loving baby. Dad (Charlie) has been a total rock during the moments where I have struggled emotionally with having a premmie. I couldn’t imagine my life as a Mum without Charlie. We can’t wait to take our little guy home.”
