After months of speculation, Tammy Hembrow has confirmed her split from Matt Zukowski — less than a year after tying the knot.
The fitness influencer and mother-of-three addressed the long-running rumours on Sunday in a teary TikTok video, telling fans she was getting a divorce.
“This is giving me so much anxiety,” she started the video.
“I wanted to finally tell you guys that I am going to be getting a divorce.
“I know a lot of you have been following my journey for years so I wanted to be open about it and you know I do know for me, addressing it for you guys is sort of therapeutic.”
Hembrow said she wouldn’t go into the finer details out of respect for those involved but admitted the situation had left her heartbroken.
“I don’t want to talk about anyone other than myself. Did I think this was gonna happen, no. Did I want this, no.”
“Obviously when you marry someone you do it thinking that it’s going to be forever and I blame no one but myself to be honest. I feel like I’ve made not the best choices when it comes to relationships.
“I’m really good at putting on rose coloured glasses or just getting swept up in it all.
Obviously the worst part of it all is because I have kids … I know I’ll be okay … I just feel awful.”
Holding back tears, Hembrow, who shares two children with ex-partner Reece Hawkins and one with former fiance Matt Poole continued, “I get a lot of nasty comments like, ‘Oh, another marriage.’ This is my first marriage, just FYI.”
“Nothing anyone can say can make me feel like more shit than I already do, like more humiliated.
“I already think that about myself right now, I don’t think those comments are getting to me because I’m already there.
Hembrow, who has amassed more than 17 million followers on Instagram said she was now focusing on her children and healing, with therapy playing a big part in her recovery.
“Therapy — life changing,” she said.
“I feel like there’s been periods of my life where I’ve gone to therapy and I’ve never stuck with it.
“This whole experience has just made me feel like I still have a lot of growing to do. A lot of work to do but I’m giving myself grace and well I’m trying to … it’s a bit hard right now.
“There’s a lesson in everything and hopefully this time I learn it.
“Hopefully I am more cautious going forward and more just eyes wide open … and listen to the people around me. Hopefully I just learn from these mistakes which I feel like I finally will. Super embarrassing, super heartbreaking, super just shit situation.”
Rumours of trouble in paradise first emerged in March, after a fan claimed to have spotted Hembrow crying in a public bathroom. Around the same time, another said they overheard Zukowski “talking crap” about his wife at a gym in South Melbourne.
The pair also raised eyebrows by unfollowing and re-following each other on social media in the weeks that followed.
That same month, Hembrow stayed with her three children and sister Amy at a luxury Gold Coast hotel — despite living just minutes away in her $2.88 million waterfront mansion. Zukowski was notably absent.
Fans in a Facebook group speculated on the state of the marriage, with one writing: “We’ve seen him around South Melbourne for ages now. Not sure how long he’s been away from Tammy,” while another added: “She was crying yesterday.”
Hembrow and Zukowski’s whirlwind romance began in 2023 after he slid into her DMs. The couple married in a dreamy ceremony in Byron Bay last November with the wedding featured in Vogue.
