Jilted society wife Ellie Aitken has taken to Instagram to post a private spat with the woman who has succeeded her in her husband’s life, Hollie Nasser.
In the post — published and deleted on Sunday morning — Ellie denies having a two-year love affair with actor Russell Crowe, with whom she was photographed at a pre-Oscars party in Beverly Hills in February 2016 while she was still married to stockbroker-turned-funds-manager Charlie Aitken.
The couple recently separated, with Charlie Aitken confirming the split and his new relationship with 36-year-old Nasser, the wife of his former close friend and business investor Chris Nasser.
Ex-best friends Ellie and Hollie had evidently been engaged in a heated conversation via text in the preceding hours after Aitken posted photographs to Instagram on Saturday evening of her and her estranged husband Charlie with their young son William at a sports presentation event.
“Ellie there’s no point in us talking anymore. I can’t believe after a 2 year affair with Russell Crowe … you are out there playing the victim and saying I ruined your perfect marriage,” a private text from Hollie to Ellie reads in the deleted post.
“Yes of course putting Will on your public Instagram was going in the paper, you knew that when you posted it. Charlie was not at my house last night and I’ve got mum staying here. I’ve had photographers here since Friday and still here now surrounding my house I’m not that dumb. He dropped me outside my house on Friday and that’s it, I know he’s staying at ******* (location deleted for privacy)”.
In response Ellie — who last week launched an elite networking club called One Club and sits on the Australian Ballet Ambassador Board, the Sydney Children’s Hospital’s SunSCHine fundraising committee and is a mentor at YWCA’s Big Brothers Big Sisters program, responds: “Darling I was watching him there with the white plantation shutters behind which we photographed on FaceTime and he told me he was there having pizza. And no I didn’t have a two-year affair, don’t try to deflect.”
Aitken adds — in bold blue type — “Stop lying and bullying me @hollie.nasser• Enough.”
It’s only a month since Aitken paid tribute to Nasser on her Facebook page saying: “Happy happy birthday to my beautiful (Hollie). So lucky to have you in my life. Here’s to sharing many more good times together in the years to come.”
