Outrage at AVO: Businessman Chris Nasser will deny claims in court

Chris Nasser has spoken out after police took out an AVO on behalf of his estranged wife Hollie Nasser, who is now living with his former business partner Charlie Aitken.

Sydney investor Chris Nasser has spoken out after police took out an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order on behalf of his estranged wife Hollie Nasser last month.

In a statement issued exclusively to The Daily Telegraph, Mr Nasser confirmed that the proceedings would be defended.

“After being deeply hurt by the deception, choices and actions of other adult parties, I am disturbed that those actions have been followed by manufactured and dishonest claims now being made about me,” he said.

“I categorically deny the allegations. They are totally baseless. It is disappointing that others are choosing to make a horrible situation for me and my children, even worse.”

Ms Nasser is now dating Charlie Aitken, pictured with his estranged wife Ellie.

One longtime friend of the couple, who did not want to be named, said up until recently, Ms Nasser had been telling friends that she regretted the AVO and intended to approach police and have it withdrawn.

“We’re all disgusted, Hollie and Charlie have been completely frozen out by everyone,” the source said.

A court hearing has been scheduled for December 15.

It comes after The Sunday Telegraph revealed that the Nassers recently split after nearly five years of marriage — and in a shock twist, Ms Nasser is now in a relationship with his business partner, Charlie Aitken.

Former Sydney power couple Charlie Aitken and his wife Ellie recently ended their almost 20-year marriage, and Mr Aitken has moved out of their eastern suburbs home and into a serviced apartment in Bondi Junction with Ms Nasser.

Friends have questioned the timeline of Ms Nasser’s relationship with Mr Aitken, and say there was an overlap.

“They have been having an affair for five months,” the source said.

Ms Aitken, 42, resigned from her post as executive director of the couple’s investment business, Aitken Investment Management, but remains a director.

Mr Nasser also recently resigned from his position as a director at AIM.

Mr Aitken is the son of Perpetual Bank investment legend John Aitken and a former stockbroker.

Ms Aitken is a mergers and acquisitions lawyer who dabbled in fashion design before joining her husband at the family funds business.

Days after Mr Aitken confirmed he was now dating his estranged wife’s best friend, Sydney lawyer Ms Aitken was seen dancing to Elton John and Dua Lipa’s Cold Heart during a girls’ night out at the star-studded Moet and Chandon event on Wednesday.

At one point, a friend of Ms Aitken yelled out: “That’s your song” as music trio Pnau performed their sad remix on stage.

The song lyrics including the line: “It’s a human sign, when things go wrong. When the scent of her lingers and temptation’s strong. Cold, cold heart, hardened by you oh. Some things lookin’ better, baby. Just passin’ through no, no, no, no, no.”
