Eighty-year-old billionaire moves girlfriend Alessandra Eddy into Darling Point mansion

Eighty-year-old billionaire Robert Whyte has taken his relationship with his young fashion marketer girlfriend to the next level.
After being single for more than 15 years, Whyte, worth $925 million, has moved his partner of about a year, Alessandra Eddy, and her daughter into his $30 million Darling Point mansion in recent weeks.
However not everyone is happy about the relationship moving forward, with Eddy’s father, highly respected Paddington lawyer Nicholas Eddy, understood to be far from impressed by the move.
Eddy, 38 founded Australian fashion brand Luna Atelier, which was known and loved by A-listers including Kelly Rowland, Ksenija Lukich, Nikki Phillips, Cheyenne Tozzi, Clementine
McVeigh, Kate Ritchie and Lisa Wipfli, before taking on a role at Joshua Penn’s luxury boutique Belinda as a general manager marketing and partnerships.
Whyte, who has three adult children, was a private investor and banker who built his fortune on property and equity market investments and was a close friend of the late billionaire Kerry Packer.
The 2020 AFR Rich List ranked him 141st in Australia.
