POP star Delta Goodrem has been forced to warn fans against a “scam” that is using her name to make money.

The Aussie songstress yesterday issued a statement on her Instagram page urging people not to click on an article about how she had turned her back on music to focus on a skincare range.

She said: “Dear all, there has been a FALSE & unauthorised article circulating online that has come from an unsolicited site regarding my involvement with a face cream.

“All of the information in this story is untrue so please do NOT believe anything that you may have read.

“Do NOT click through to this article. It is a SCAM intended to get your data and/or your money.

“I have nothing to do with this made up story and wanted to make sure you knew not to follow the link. Love & light, D x”.

A spokesman for the ACCC told Confidential no such scam had been reported to the watchdog.

Fans were quick to rally around the star, asking her if she had let Scamwatch know.

Posting in response, one said: “I did see this and it screamed false ... thanks for the heads up.”
