Daniel Ricciardo’s high school sweetheart has gone for another high octane man after separating from the F1 driver.
Confidential can reveal Jemma Boskovich is dating Supercars driver Andre Heimgartner, with the budding romance the talk of the sport.
The pair met through friends several months ago and have been dating long distance with New Zealander Heimgartner based in Melbourne and Boskovich in Perth.
“We met through a mutual friend in New Zealand and have been together two or three months,” Heimgartner told Confidential.
“It is still early days obviously. We will see what happens, you never know what will happen.”
The 26-year-old was cautious not to go into detail when contacted out of respect for his girlfriend, indicating that they “engaged over (Instagram) message” in the early stages of the relationship.
“We got chatting through a mutual friend and it sort of went from there,” he said, having recently shared a shot of the pair on Instagram.
“Some people you get on well with, some you don’t. She is very understanding. Jemma is a very nice person, so it works out well.”
Boskovich runs her own jewellery business, Lost In Lace. She and Ricciardo split in 2016, having lived together in Monaco before calling time on the relationship of several years.
Rarely speaking about his private life, Ricciardo a year earlier said: “There is obviously a lot of girls around the sport, but no, I’m happily taken and just being a good bloke.”
Heimgartner meanwhile laughed off interest in his private life.
“It is a bit different,” he said. “Unusual I guess but it all comes with it, it is just part of it.”
Sport-wise, the V8 driver has had a good run of late.
He won his first ever Supercars race at The Bend in South Australia earlier this month as part of the Kelly Grove Racing Team.
“It has been really picking up,” he said.
“I am happy with the team I am in now and starting to get some good results.
All of the hard work is starting to pay off so I feel like everything is heading in the right direction, which is really positive and hopefully we can continue on and win some more races. I am really looking forward to that side of it.”
