“You see this is not just about a headline for the day, this is ruining lives,” he said in a clip that aired on Monday.

“Not just me, you want to crucify me? Fine. Look what it’s done to my beautiful partner, look what it continues to do to my family every day.”

McLachlan’s partner of two years Scammell was seen crying in the dramatic teaser.

In another preview, the former Home and Away star appeared shirtless and dishevelled.

“Hope your lives are good, treasure them because they can be taken away like that,” he said.

McLachlan is set to tell-all in the TV special airing soon, months after he was found not guilty of assaulting four women during a 2014 Melbourne stage production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The veteran actor was charged with seven counts of indecent assault and six counts of common law assault against multiple women including three cast members from the production.

McLachlan maintained that each alleged incident was either consensual or did not happen and he was later cleared of all charges in December last year after a nearly three year ordeal.

Opera Australia conductor Scammell was one of the actor’s strongest supporters throughout the trial.

Separately, a lawyer for McLachlan previously said the actor would seek aggravated damages over false allegations published about him and in 2018, he launched defamation action in New South Wales against Fairfax Media, the ABC and a former co-star however the case was put on hold after criminal charges were brought by Victoria Police.
