Cirque du Soleil has saved the best for last.
The world-class entertainers will make Sydney the final stop on their run of shows in Australia with the spectacular Luzia.
The countdown is on with the Big Top at the Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park to begin set-up from tomorrow, a process that takes seven days and 6000 hours work.
Records have been set for Luzia shows across the country with 120,000 tickets sold in Brisbane alone.
Confidential has seen the show and, while our scribe isn’t religious, found it a spiritual one as incredible waterworks are incorporated into the performances.
It is 25 years since Cirque first launched a show in Australia.
Luzia, the Canadian company’s 38th original production, is inspired by Mexican culture with ‘luz’ the Spanish word for light and ‘lluvia’ meaning rain.
The onstage cast is 47-strong with the travelling show taking 99 shipping containers and 124 people in total around the world.
November 24 will see the first show of the Sydney season, which will run through until February 9 before heading to New York.
