AUSTRALIAN Ninja Warrior has dropped further in the ratings with MasterChef now snapping at the heels of the last year’s record-breaking franchise.
A gap of just 1000 viewers across the five cities separated the two programs on Monday night, with Ninja Warrior dropping to 831,000 viewers (down from 929,000 on Sunday night) and MasterChef pulling 830,000 (up from 748,000).

MediaWeek editor James Manning says viewers may be too invested in rival programs to switch to the second season of Ninja Warrior.
“MasterChef and House Rules are getting towards the end of their season so people who have stuck with them this long, it’s going to take a fair bit to drag them away from finding out what happens on those shows.”
A Nine spokesman said the network was “confident the numbers will continue to grow through the season”.
Former Wiggles dancer Lauren Hannaford and her Red Wiggle husband Simon Pryce both attempted the course but failed to make it through.
