Channel 9 weatherman Steve Jacobs splits with wife Rosie after almost seven years
After 11 years together and seven years of marriage, former TV weatherman Steve Jacobs and wife Rosie have separated. A friend told The Sunday Telegraph’s Confidential the pair put on an image of the perfect family but were struggling behind the scenes.

AFTER 11 years together and seven years of marriage, former TV weatherman Steve Jacobs and wife Rosie have separated.
Confidential understands the couple called it quits last year after moving to Vanuatu with their two young children, Isabella, 6, and Francesca, 4.
“They’ve grown in different directions and want different things in life now,” a friend told The Sunday Telegraph’s Confidential.
“Steve and Rosie had such a public image of the perfect happy family but behind the scenes there were struggles that would put strain on even the best marriage.”
The couple met in 2007 on set of the Today show and were married in Bali in 2010. It was Jacobs’ second marriage.
The now 51-year-old retired from weekday weather duties on Today at the end of 2016 after a decade in the role.
Rosie, 39, is a presenter on Seven’s Sydney Weekender show.
“It was a decision they made in order to try to reconnect after too much time apart for so many years,” a source close to the couple said. “Sadly, it hasn’t worked and they separated last year — a decision that has been incredibly hard for them both but for the best in the long run.”
The source added: “They both love their children and neither of them regrets the move to Vanuatu. For now they have decided to remain living there, where the girls are in school. So many people give up on their relationships at the first sign of struggle but Steve and Rosie both tried really hard for a long time before reaching this point.”
Another long-time friend said: “They’ve kept their problems very private but we’ve all noticed that it has been a long time coming.”
