Channel 9 star Lauren Phillips remains amicable with former husband after split

Lauren Phillips, who split from her husband Lachlan Spark after just a year of marriage, has taken it in her stride. The Channel 9 star revealed they have remained close and have been even hanging out recently.

Breakups are never easy, but Lauren Phillips has taken it in her stride.

Late last year the Channel 9 presenter sadly parted ways with husband Lachlan Spark after just a year of marriage.

The 32-year-old said there was no scandal around the situation — no affairs and no “other” woman — so the pair have remained close, even attending a wedding together on the weekend.

“It’s been a hectic few months trying to find my feet and I suppose trying to get my confidence back again,” she told Confidential.

“I think often when you’re going through a difficult time people rally around you and that’s what I’ve done.

“Lachie and I are still on really great terms, we just went to a wedding in Byron Bay.

“People go through difficult times and we made a promise to be there for each other.”

Phillips married creative agency owner Spark in a fairytale wedding December 2017 after meeting in 2012.

Their split was only confirmed December last year and weeks later Phillips underwent hip surgery.

The former Myer ambassador has kept busy in 2019 so far, hosting the launch of US skincare brand CeraVe on Tuesday, a dermatologically developed product which she said has been crucial in controlling her skin during this tough time.

The former couple most recently spent time together at a friend’s wedding in Byron Bay.

“When I get run down and stressed it often comes out in my skin, then I stress more about it because my face is in front of the camera so it makes it worse,” she said.

“I started using CeraVe two weeks ago and it’s totally cleared up my face — and I would not say that if I didn’t mean it.”

While her new skincare routine is helping boost her confidence, Phillips confirmed there is no new man on the scene while she takes time to focus on herself.
